Was the disqualification something that should have been found in the registration process or is this going to be a rule changing incident?

Dear Cindy Peppler
The postings that are here are the “Unofficail” results from the tournament. The “Official” results will show you in the corrected position once the disqualification issue is resolved and we can post the tournament as “Official” Your prize check is being mailed today and will reflect the correct prize winnings for you.

There is an error in the women’s handicap standings. I have contacted people and reported this and it still has not been corrected. I am listed in the wrong age .
This has been forwarded to the Virginia State Association Manager.
Virginia State Senior Tournament Bowlers,
The Virginia State USBC has received notice that the bowler involved in the disqualification has appealed the decision of the USBC Rules Department to the USBC Legal Department for review. USBC has given us permission to pay the tournament prize fund {with the exception} of Team, Men’s Doubles, Men’s Singles Age group 60-64 and Men’s All Events Age group 60-64. All others will be paid this week.
Mike Eckles has stated that prizes that can be paid will be sent out on Monday January 9,2017.
Thanks to everyone for your understanding and patience in allowing the process of disqualification and appeal to work through the process.

Well did they appeal decision? We bowlers deserve to know.
Virginia State Senior Tournament Bowlers,
USBC National Rules Department hasn’t notified Virginia State USBC (as of 12 noon 1-3-2017) if the bowler has appealed to the Legal Department. We will give an update as soon as we are notified. We are sorry for the delay but there is a procedure that all bowlers are entitled to when an protest is made and we are following that procedure.

I really hope this matter is settled soon I feel like this process of appeal is really taking too long
It is December 30..was there an appeal
Here it is after Christmas and we haven’t heard anything, whats taking so long?
The Association is still waiting on USBC to give their decision on an appeal regarding the disqualification of a bowler.
The USBC Rules Department has upheld the disqualification decision. They have notified the Virginia State USBC and the disqualified bowler of their decision and given the bowler until December 30, 2016 to appeal their decision to the USBC Legal Department. The Virginia State USBC Seniors Tournament hopes to have this resolved as soon as possible. The Virginia State USBC Seniors is sorry for the delay.

When do you propose this to be settled? As a bowler in the tournament do we not have the right to know who was disqualified
